Commercial Plumber / Residential Plumber
Crawford is looking for an experienced plumber to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in various environments, including construction sites.
Primary Responsibilities:
- This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in various environments, including construction sites
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in a Commercial or Residential setting
- Work as team with other employees or contractors
- Maintain Company tools for serviceability
- Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes
- Plumber Job Duties: Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems
- Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)
- Install and maintain water supply systems
- Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
- Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc
- Repair domestic appliances (e.g. washing machines) and fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc
- Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems (air-conditioning units, radiators etc.)
- Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems
Qualifications:
- An IL OR IA Plumbing License is required to apply for position
- Proficient in plumbing code, techniques and practices
- Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with power tools used in plumbing work
- Knowledge of remodeling processes related to plumbing installations
- Ability to work on construction sites safely and efficiently
- Capable of performing heavy lifting as part of job duties
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
